Hey y'all! Kevin here. I'm very excited to announce that we're partnering with a band I have long adored (they were in my Myspace top 8 way back when!). Long relegated to unofficial Youtube uploads, pennines' music was uploaded to streaming services fraudulently and without their knowledge or consent back in 2024. It wouldn't be until the band was going semi-viral on TikTok with millions of plays and hundreds of thousands of individual posts featuring their music before they even realized what had happened. Now in 2026, the band has regained control of their music everywhere and are rejuvenated by the renewed interest in music they made together nearly two decades ago.Real heads have always known this is a special band, and fans of TTNG will recognize Henry Tremain's vocal contributions on pennines' tracks. For everyone else, we offer you recordings 2008-09, a crash course of the band's early oughts output.
The six tracks comprising recordings 2008-09 make up the entire pennines discography to date. Coming up in the UK mid-late 2000s indie music scene, pennines were lucky enough to share the stage with contemporaries such as Stapleton, Hot Club de Paris, Colour, Dartz!, TTNG and other like minded musical friends. Popularized by genre forebears toe and American Football, pennines favoured arpeggiated guitar, syncopation, staccato call-and-response harmonies, and unexpected rhythm decisions.
In the exceptionally rare case that you're in Italy or might be next month, the band will be playing a few dates there (lookout for some more UK dates getting announced soon!):
