Gulfer is back with their fourth album Third Wind + a new single!

Montreal four-piece Gulfer have announced their fourth studio album Third Wind with their latest single, "Too Slow". The album encapsulates their signature style of glimmering, propulsive, and emotionally driven indie-rock ...annnd breakbeats?

Recommended if you like: Pup, Joyce Manor, Hotline TNT, Ovlov, atmospheric indie rock with hints of punkish pop

Of "Too Slow", Consequence of Sound writes,

"Gulfer’s “Too Slow” spends about a minute smacking you over the head with twinkly, tapped riffs and huge guitar chords before letting the screams reverberate into a skittering electronic breakbeat. Is it a little out there? A little unexpected? Most certainly. But we’ll be damned if it doesn’t bang incredibly hard, instantly compelling our fingers to hit replay so we can hear it all over again. Between “Too Slow” and previous single “Clean,” Gulfer’s upcoming Third Wind won’t be one to miss."
Which is all 100% true and accurate information.

Gulfer - S/T

Gulfer
S/T

Explosive, agile emo serves as the backdrop to guitarist and vocalists Vincent Ford and Joe Therriault's honest and vulnerable lyricism, with the two sharing the writing process on a record that tackles human nature; exploring self-doubt, resentment, complex relationships, climate change, and the waning of youth. The band never lose the sense of playfulness and fun that is omnipresent in their live show, an undeniable, electric energy that stems from being a group of close friends before all else.

Gulfer - Dog Bless

Gulfer
Dog Bless

At the intersection of punk and math rock, you'll find four French weirdos from Montreal, Canada. Dog Bless finds them building upon their established recipe of gruff vocals, driving—but intricate—rhythms, and bright, noodly melodies. The result is a cohesive listen that ebbs and flows over twelve dynamic tracks.
